Jan 21, 2007 - POTD

Found this fire hydrant when walking around the neighborhood and it caught my eye.
Here are the settings I found by using photoshop. I appreciate any cc. I want to get better. Thanks Mar for suggesting I put my settings here:
f-stop: 5.6, ISO: 250 shutter speed: 1/50 sec

Cool color!!

I would love to add some cc, but was wondering if you would please post your settings?

Hey thanks for adding them!

The softness (blurry) I see seems to be coming from the shutter speed. You really don't want to shoot hand holding your camera unless you are at least at 1/60....even faster if you have a long focal length.

Also, I would straighten the lines in the image. It is really simple. Let me try and find a tutorial link for you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I went through the tutorial and it worked perfectly. Too bad I already cropped that so much. Next one I'll do this and then crop like the tutorial says. I appreciate it!!!! Now to figure out the shutter speed.
